My Classroom Window...

This view is so different in the winter time. One thing that I *LOVE* about winter... the view from my window out over the city.

Enjoy Each Day and...

Look ~ Out ~ The ~ Window

Today, I looked out the window and saw... the sun shining and the wind blowing. Perfect weather in a not so perfect world.

I love my job, but sometimes... it's a little stressful. I have a beautiful view out over the city from my classroom window. When I am stressed out... I need to remember to look out the window and relax. Everything's going to be ~all~right!

I'm going to try to enjoy each day, appreciate each moment and *LIVE* in the present with no regrets. Life is absolutely too short!!!

Quote of the day * Love *

“Love is not affectionate feeling, but a steady wish for the loved person's ultimate good as far as it can be obtained” ~C.S. Lewis

Do I wish for my loved ones ultimate good as far as it can be obtained?

Triathlon Training

The countdown is really on for my first ever FULL~Ironman. I am getting so excited. The countdown clock on the Ironman Cozumel site says: 82 days / 11 hours / 34 minutes

I have really been enjoying my training. I have been striving to train "intuitively" and it has been working really well. I have felt GREAT this season and NO, NO injuries!!! Woo~HOO!!!

Here is a picture from the Stansbury Tri 2nd overall Female:

Thought of the Day...

A thought I've had a lot lately is:

"The privilege of a lifetime is being who you are." -Joseph Campbell

But the problem with this quote is really discovering for yourself "who you are".

Questions start arising in my mind such as: Do I let others determine who I am? What are my actions saying I am? Can I change who I am? WHO IS LYNETTE POWELL MILLER?

Actually... I don't let it frustrate me. I celebrate this quote.

"The privilege of a lifetime is being who I AM."

I am Lynette Powell Miller.
I like to call myself Net, Netty, or even Ned sometimes.
I like who I am.
I am a child of God. God loves me.
God loves ALL his children and wants me to accept others for who THEY are! Not... who Netty wants them to be.
I love my husband and children for who they are.

I am on a lifelong journey to becoming a better me. But first I must celebrate who I am now.

September 2010

September is the beginning of fall...

I am determined this year not to let the winter get me down. So... I went out shopping for boots today. LoL!!!

I am going to prepare myself for the cooler weather and this year try to get OUT in IT. Not hide from it.

I have a lot of exercise goals.

I actually have some other priorities too. Some of which I must write down and remind myself:

*Spiritual*Emotional*Physical*Habit*

hab·it

[hab-it]
–noun

1.an acquired behavior pattern regularly followed until it has become almost involuntary: the habit of looking both ways before crossing the street.

I am learning and re~learning some new habits. One of which is to get down on my knees daily and thank my Heavenly Father for ALL my amazing blessings. I have been so blessed in this life, and I must give thanks daily.

I am so thankful for my physical body, and I am fearlessly working to treat it like a temple. I will NOT return to old ways. I will continue to develop healthy eating habits and when stress arrives... deal with the emotions, make a plan, and cope in a positive way.

EMOTIONS... are not driven by those around me. I choose how to react. Each and every day, I am the owner of my emotions and can choose how to react.

I have discovered recently that I have a lot of character flaws that I would like to work on. BUT... The one thing I must remember is... BE KIND. BE LIKE JESUS... Choose the Right... Listen to the Holy Ghost and live life to the fullest.
